Applying our presets

Improving your photos with presets is a fast and simple process, but were you aware that you have the ability to incorporate custom presets into your Lightroom presets collection? You can swiftly acquire and integrate our presets in the free Lightroom for mobile app.

If you have an Android device, follow these steps:

  1. Download the preset or group of presets you want to install on your device using the download link in your email.
  2. Open the Lightroom for mobile app and open an image.
  3. Select “Presets,” then go to the three-dot menu at the upper right of the screen and choose “Import Presets.” Select the presets file you want to import from your device.

Note: If the user preset you want to import is in ZIP format, you can import it without unzipping it.

  1. Once the presets file is imported, go to “Presets” > “Yours” > “User Presets” to access all the imported presets.

If you have an iPhone device, follow these steps:

  1. Download the preset or group of presets you want to install on your device using the download link in your email.
  2. Open the Lightroom for mobile app and open an image.
  3. Select “Presets,” then go to the three-dot menu at the upper right of the screen and choose “Import Presets.” Select the presets file you want to import from your device.

Note: If the user preset you want to import is in ZIP format, you can import it without unzipping it.

  1. Once the presets file is imported, go to “Presets” > “Yours” > “User Presets” to access all the imported presets.

Importing a DNG preset:

Before adding any DNG preset to your Presets library, unzip the downloaded presets folder and save the files on your mobile device or in cloud storage.

Note: To unzip downloaded presets on your desktop or mobile device, follow these steps:

  • On Mac, double-click the zipped file, and it will be automatically unzipped.
  • On Windows, right-click the zipped file and select “Extract All” to unzip the files.
  • On mobile devices, use any app that allows you to unzip downloaded zipped files.

Once the presets folder is unzipped, you’ll find one or more presets. To add a DNG preset to your Lightroom for mobile Presets library, do the following:

  1. Open the Lightroom app on your mobile device and tap “Add Photos.”
  2. Navigate to the location where you saved the DNG file and select the one you want to import.
  3. If you are using an iOS device, tap “From Camera Roll” to proceed. For Android, tap “Gallery/Folder.” If the DNG files are stored in cloud storage, choose “From Files” on iOS devices or the specific cloud storage folder on Android devices.
  4. Once you’ve opened the imported file, tap the three-dot icon in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  5. Choose “Create Presets” and provide a name for your newly imported preset.
  6. Add the new preset to a Preset Group of your choice and tap the checkmark icon at the top of the screen to save the preset.

Applying the new preset:

You can use the newly added presets on your photos by following these steps:

  1. Open the photo to which you want to apply the preset.
  2. Tap the “Presets” panel at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Select “Yours” and choose the Preset Group where you saved your new preset.
  4. Pick the preset and tap the checkmark icon to apply it.
